My Story

After twenty-six years of operations management I wanted a change. Something that fit my inquisitive nature, allowed me to use my creativity yet had structure and order. So I went back to school and earned degree number two in Computer Science.

While studying programing languages and agile methodologies I realized my years of management endowed me with softskills which shined through while leading two class groups through projects and collaborating with my peers to solve programing problems. I knew instantly that my honed skills would mesh well with my new career path.

My Work

While in school I started working for Accenture Flex, the division of Accenture that offers solutions for businesses with internal projects. It was a really good fit for me as I had experienced a lot of the same duties from my operational management background.

In August of 2022, I graduated and at the same time was working on a project with an EV truck company. I had a sense of commitment to the team and wanted to see the project through to the end. Fast forward to May of 2023, the projects ended and I am being prepped for my next project. However I felt it was time to take my new education along with my years of experience and apply my skills in an IT/IS role.
